Itinerary

Start your journey with a visit to Hidden Chapel, a small, boutique winery. Savour their award-winning wines while learning about their dedication to sustainable viticulture and winemaking practices.

Hidden Chapel believes great wine is an expression of the area it comes from: it’s grown, not made. A combination of soil, sun, vine and man, their wine begins with its roots deep within the sandy loam of the northern tip of the Great Basin Desert. It's then ripened by the hot Okanagan sun and aged in their unique underground cellar, overlooked by the Hidden Chapel. Visit their tasting room and experience the Hidden Chapel in the pines surrounded by beautiful gardens.

Next, we'll take you to Cassini Cellars, an Italian family-owned winery that prides itself on producing premium wines from handpicked grapes. Enjoy a private tasting of their elegant wines while learning about their commitment to viticulture and winemaking.

Robert Cassini believes that every bottle of wine should communicate something distinct, something unique about the region it comes from. This dedication to craft and subtlety has quickly made their red and white wines some of the most celebrated on the Golden Mile Bench - the finest grape-growing region in Canada.

We'll stop at Hester Creek, with a picturesque setting and a menu of farm-to-table cuisine for lunch. Enjoy a skillfully selected flight of premium wines led by a Hester Creek ambassador in a signature, hosted tasting experience in one of their intimate spaces.

The original winery built on this site in the early 1980s by BC wine pioneer Joe Busnardo was named Divino Estate. The property was sold in 1996 and renamed Hester Creek after the creek bordering the south side of the land.

Charmed by the scenic location and convinced of its potential, entrepreneur Curt Garland bought Hester Creek in 2004 - the dry grasslands, natural vegetation, orchards and the Golden Mile Bench vineyards reminded him of the Mediterranean. New to the industry, he assembled an accomplished team, which included veteran Niagara winemaker Rob Summers.

Curt made several significant investments: in the vineyards with new plantings and a drip irrigation system; building a 23,000-square-foot winery with state-of-the-art equipment; a new hospitality centre; an Italian-inspired restaurant, and luxurious accommodations at the Villa.

Today, Hester Creek is a destination winery that offers a gracious wine country welcome to guests with premium old vines wines. Our Mediterranean-influenced setting offers customized tastings, scenic patios, summer barbeques, live music, farm-to-table cooking classes, luxury Tuscan-styled villas, and Italian-inspired dining at Terrafina Restaurant.

Enjoy a sumptuous, relaxed lunch in this Mediterranean-inspired local favourite specializing in local ingredients and flavours. Meaning "from the Earth," Terrafina is a gorgeous, Tuscan-style restaurant nestled among the vines of Hester Creek Estate Winery in Oliver.

Finally, we'll end the tour at the luxurious Phantom Creek Estates, where you'll discover their exceptional wines crafted from grapes sourced from some of the oldest vineyards in the region. Experience tasting their award-winning wines while enjoying their stunning architecture and the valley's scenic views.

Phantom Creek Estates is home to estate vineyards across two distinct benches in the Okanagan Valley. Uniquely influenced by geological forces millennia in the making, these acclaimed, historic vineyards are each certified organic and farmed according to meticulous biodynamic techniques.
