Itinerary

Your journey begins with a visit to Moraine Estate Winery, a family-owned winery producing exceptional wines for over a decade. Here, you'll enjoy an immersive tasting of their award-winning wines.

Moraine Estate overlooks Lake Okanagan. From its shelf-like location above striking clay bluffs, Moraine peers over the landscape and water. These glaciated white clay cliffs comprise the breathtaking Naramata Bench and inspire the winery's land-formed name.

Moraine Winery is owned by Oleg & Svetlana. In 1995, the couple moved to Canada from Europe to give their family a better quality of life. They first moved to Edmonton, where they lived for 15 years. They were charmed by the beauty of the Okanagan and vineyards, which made them relocate from Alberta in 2009. They believe that wine offers one of life's most simple, enjoyable, and accessible pleasures, and this philosophy spurred their leap into the wine industry.

Next, we'll take you to Hillside Winery, which prides itself on sustainable and organic practices.

Unique, small-lot, and terroir-driven are terms best used to describe Hillside wines. Their focus is showcasing hand-crafted wine made exclusively from Naramata-grown grapes. Hillside wines display unique and compelling characteristics allowing wine drinkers to share in discovering and developing the Naramata Bench as a collection of serious terroirs.

Veteran winemaker, Kathy Malone, brings out the best in Hillside wines with a gentle touch and minimal intervention. Simple. Elegant.

Their charming courtyard and modern farmhouse tasting room offer a friendly and casual setting to explore and taste their award-winning wines. Savour their unique blends and single varietals while enjoying the stunning vineyards and Lake Okanagan views.

Next, we'll stop at Poplar Grove Winery, which offers a panoramic lake view. Founded in 1993, Poplar Grove Winery is one of the original five wineries on the Naramata Bench.

Tony and Barb Holler purchased the winery in 2007. Today, their sons carefully farm over 140 acres of estate vineyards. The family is widely recognized for crafting their outstanding signature red blend, The Legacy, delicious Cabernet Franc and Merlot-focused wines and an exceptional Pinot Gris. Together they share a commitment to distinctive, genuine wines that reflect the character and richness of the Okanagan Valley.

Next, we'll take a break for a delicious lunch while indulging in the awe-inspiring beauty of the valley. Nestled on the slopes of Munson Mountain, The Restaurant at Poplar Grove offers beautiful views of Okanagan Lake while offering exceptional wines and carefully crafted food by Executive Chef Stacy Johnston.

After lunch, we'll take you to Little Engine Wines, where the owners envision producing a collection of wines that appeal to astute wine enthusiasts and the most seasoned professionals. Varietals are based on terroir with the ability to influence barrels. Three properties planted in Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Merlot mark estate production, while Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Franc make up the portfolio's balance. A winery dedicated to the pursuit of excellence. They believe their vision of inspiration and dreams result in wines that deliver, inspired by the same dreams.
